I like books, especially the books that help you improve yourself, and I think the best time to start becoming the best version of yourself is before your 20s.
So please follow me, I’ll try to explain them to you the best way I can.

About these Books:

Let’s be honest, books will not solve all your problems but if you would ask every smart and successful person how did they become what they are, they would tell you: “I read books”, so yes! Books are the best foundations for smart and successful living (and this is advice that a small percentage of people take).
No! With only ten books you will not become smarter or more successful, you will need to read everyday, so let’s go with the first books that talks exactly about that.

2. “Atomic Habits” - James Clear

  • THE PHENOMENAL INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER — 1 MILLION COPIES SOLD

Transform your life with tiny changes in behaviour, starting now.
People think that when you want to change your life, you need to think big. But world-renowned habits expert James Clear has discovered another way. He knows that real change comes from the compound effect of hundreds of small decisions: doing two push-ups a day, waking up five minutes early, or holding a single short phone call. He calls them ATOMIC HABITS.

In this ground-breaking book, Clears reveals exactly how these minuscule changes can grow into such life-altering outcomes. He uncovers a handful of simple life hacks (the forgotten art of Habit Stacking, the unexpected power of the Two Minute Rule, or the trick to entering the Goldilocks Zone), and delves into cutting-edge psychology and neuroscience to explain why they matter. Along the way, he tells inspiring stories of Olympic gold medalists, leading CEOs, and distinguished scientists who have used the science of tiny habits to stay productive, motivated, and happy.

These small changes will have a revolutionary effect on your career, your relationships, and your life.

3. “The Power of Now” - Eckhart Tolle

To make the journey into the Now we will need to leave our analytical mind and its false created self, the ego, behind. From the very first page of Eckhart Tolle’s extraordinary book, we move rapidly into a significantly higher altitude where we breathe a lighter air. We become connected to the indestructible essence of our Being, “The eternal, ever present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death.” Although the journey is challenging, Eckhart Tolle uses simple language and an easy question and answer format to guide us.

A word of mouth phenomenon since its first publication, The Power of Now is one of those rare books with the power to create an experience in readers, one that can radically change their lives for the better.

Tolle’s clear writing, supportive voice and enthusiasm make this an excellent manual for anyone who’s ever wondered what exactly “living in the now” means. Foremost, Tolle is a world-class teacher, able to explain complicated concepts in concrete language. More importantly, within a chapter of reading this book, readers are already holding the world in a different container — more conscious of how thoughts and emotions get in the way of their ability to live in genuine peace and happiness.

4. “Rich dad poor dad” - Robert Kiyosaki

Rich Dad Poor Dad is a 1997 book written by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter. It advocates the importance of financial literacy(financial education), finicial independence and building wealth through investing in assets, real estate investing, starting and owning businesses, as well as increasing one’s financial intelligence (financial IQ).

So if you’re looking for help in teaching your kids about money, I would pass on “Rich Dad Poor Dad.” There are more suitable books for you. If you are interested in buying and selling real estate, however, this would be a good book to start with.

The rich don’t work for money but learning. Hence, they invest money. Financial literacy is important and can lead to independence. Knowledge of tax and accounting is important for manipulating it to one’s advantage.

5. “Think and Grow Rich” - Napoleon Hill

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill examines the psychological power of thought and the brain in the process of furthering your career for both monetary and personal satisfaction. Originally published in 1937, this is one of the all-time self-help classics and a must read for investors and entrepreneurial types.

Interesting facts:

  1. Napoleon Hill researched more than forty millionaires to find out what made them the men that they were.
  2. In Think and Grow Rich, he imparts that knowledge to you.
  3. Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.

The Big ideas:

  1. The starting point of all achievement is desire.
  2. You are the master of your destiny.
  3. When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal.
  4. Your greatest success will often come just one step beyond the point at which defeat has overtaken you.
  5. Set your mind on a definite goal and observe how quickly the world stands aside to let you pass.
